Nothing like a full freezer. Especially heading into winter. When I was growing up we always stocked up particularly well in autumn. We just never knew when a blizzard and bad roads might cut us off for several days at a time.

I was a subscriber to CBW for years when I ran a packing house. I don't ever remember a time when prices where this high. Even during the Mississippi flood in 1993(?) when prices spiked I don't think they ever got to this level.
