We're watching America come apart and are powerless to do anything to stop it. It's changing, but it isn't going off the deep end like it was before Reagan. He saved the country.

But we don't have to drink the koolaid and vote for Bush. Its a tragedy that the Republicans are not holding primaries.

"Shockingly, many of his colleagues on Capitol Hill believe that market forces and globalization will erase national borders, an idea supported by multinational corporations, which view the "global village" as their marketplace and support tearing down national borders. Tancredo believes that corporations are simply seeking cheaper sources of production." Makes voting for these bought and paid for currs rather a waste of time.

"We" may still be a nation, but a sizeable part of the population now residing within the borders of these United States, are not part of an American nation--they do not identify with her history, ethnicity or culture. A nation has never been dependent purely on geography. It is about kith and kin, common values, lines of descent and an honored past. (See
Immigration & The American Future.)
That does not mean that immigrants may not become part of the body of a nation. But they do not do so merely by arriving and taking up residence; neither by taking a job nor going on welfare. There is far, far more involved in becoming a part of an existing nation.
It is so far past the time when Americans should have woken up to all of this, that one feels stupefied in trying to understand why (as a group) they have not. Granted, the theorists on the Academic Left have been trying for three generations to promote an internationalism that denies the validity of ethnicity and lines of descent. Granted, corrupt business intersts want an endless supply of cheap labor and new consumers. Granted, most politicians are terrified lest they offend some voting block, and the mainstream American does not like to feel a part of a voting block, and consequently is ever ignored in favor of the minorities being exploited by manipulators and demigogues. Still, what has been happening is so obvious, even the densest among us, should have gotten the message.
Maybe the proposed rally will start that very much overdue awakening.

Well, I left out an "e" in "interest." But otherwise, I am bumping my own post.

Surely....there's more to that story than you are revealing here?
Would you, could you elaborate?
Thanks-

All I know is that many of the anti illegal alien posters have been banned from FR. You'll find many of them over at www.libertypost.org.
