In a lawless land you have to have protection. Iraq doesn't have a police force at all in some areas. People know that.. it's called crime of opportunity.. Ak-47 in a home no opportunity.

You can afford more of a deterrent here. A police force... a possible alarm... a house that you can lock(you don't live in a straw hut like they do.. do you?) and you actually can have a firearm.

Land of the free... you better believe it.
