Bishop Daniel Reilly was every bit as much of a disgrace in his previous diocese of Norwich, Connecticut, where he dictated that pro-life demonstrations by Catholics as Catholics take place only on the steps of his cathedral (St. Patrick's). He moved on to afflict Worcester, Massachusetts (which has many fine Catholics in spite of His AmChurchness's best attempts to suppress the faith, close traditional churches like St. Joseph's. etc.) some years ago. He has been a cowardly quisling of a liberal bishop for about 27 years and must surely be approaching that blessed mandatory retirement age of 75. Maybe Worcester will get a Catholic as bishop next time. Could happen in Fort Worth, as well. You never know.

Thankfully Ft Worth has a refuge in the parish St Mary the Virgin that Catholics can go to experience the fullness of faith. As for this bishop, he is of retirement age now thankfully, and he is a typical Abp Jean Jadot style bishop, and the statement from the Boston Archdiocese did not come from Abp. O Malley himself, but a underling t hat very well could have been taken out of context.
As for sinkspur, he seems to be quite, whats the word for it, lacking in knowledge of Catholic church teachings, as was evident on the debate we had a couple of weeks back on Rerum Novarum.
