You know someon said that Iraq is trying to write a Constitution, why don't we just let them have ours, no one in our government seems to care for it anyhow.

I'd encourage everyone to call email fax or write and let them know where you stand on this issue.

preferably in Spanish. They pay a lot more attention that way

I'm sure it is discouraging to you and others who went through the hassle (and I've heard it's a BIG hassle) of following the law to live here. That's why it's no real suprise the majority of legal immigrants support enforcing the laws against illegal immigration. Well, that and the fact that legal immigrants come here to be Americans and cast their lot with the rest of us. Most illegals come here for monetary reasons. If the U.S goes under they can always head back home, no big loss for them.

We have to face it - until we can recall everyone now currently in office, the wishes of, in this case, 85% of the American people doesn't mean %hit.

There is no disconnect between what the people want and what the Congress does. There is ample support in the polls and in the media for this sort of action. Of course, I'm talking about Mexican polls and Mexican media and Mexican people. That's who is being represented by these schmucks.

It is frustrating sometimes, but I don't see any other choice but to keep on doing what we're doing.

We could bring back the old-but-useful measure of hanging traitors. That would be worth several million phone calls and faxes.

...university of washington has revoked a long standing policy of allowing students who graduate from community colleges with an A.A and who maintained the requisite GPA from transferring into the UW automatically.

I knew a woman on Whidbey Island who attended college in California her freshman year. When she transferred back to the University of Washington (even though her parents had continued to live in Washington and continued to pay taxes there) she was suddenly considered an "out of state" student and forced to pay "out of state" tuition until graduation three years later (a considerable increase in cost.) At the culmination of her degree, she missed filing her request for graduation by one day and was told that she had to enroll and pay out-of-state tuition for yet another semester, or she couldn't get her diploma. She opted to leave school without her diploma, as a result.

I could write a book on the stupidity that I saw at the UW system when my son was there. But I won't bore you. Needless to say, I think that the U system rips off the students, the parents, and the taxpayers on a regular basis. And rips off some of the profs too.

My son's PhD advisor picked up his whole graduate group and moved it lock, stock, & barrel to U of Florida where they were all treated better.

Welcome to our country (and hopefully yours someday). You've chosen a great field, and I wish you all the success you deserve. Congratulations on coming here legally.

LOL you reminded me of when my naive mother would go to work and give the finger not knowing what it meant, she thought it meant simply put up your's. They all looked at her as if she lost her mind, and I would tell them, nope just her wig!
