Hillary Hooey. 35 whoppers from the senator from New York. (With extra cheese.)

2) "Perhaps most important, the system would allow patients to choose their own doctors, a non-negotiable item in Bill's view." (Page 150)

The thrust of Hillary health-care plan was to make it more difficult for people to choose their own doctors.

"More difficult"? Try next to impossible! Not only did she (and the reprehensible Ira Magaziner) want to criminalize choice of physicians, they also wanted to micromanage medical schools and training programs -- to ensure that enough minorities and women went into targeted specialties in targeted locations.

24) "Members of Starr's team, and Starr himself, appeared to be leaking secret grand jury testimony, which was against the law." (Page 406)

"Appeared" is a weasel word. Starr was absolved of making any illegal leaks.

Actually, I believe it was none other than the oozing Dick Morris who proved that the leaks were coming from the Clinton team. He was subpoenaed and told nobody other than his (long-suffering) wife, because he wanted to see if his upcoming appearance before the grand jury would be leaked, and it was not.

27) "He said that she had misinterpreted his attention, which was something I had seen happen dozens of times before. It was such a familiar scenario that I had little trouble believing the accusations were groundless." (Page 441)

It's unlikely that Clinton's attentions were so often "misinterpreted."

Yes, I can certainly understand how dropping trou and barking "Kiss it," and suggesting that a woman "put some ice on it" after he raped her (twice in a row!) can be misconstrued...

33) "With the whole world watching — much of it wondering what the fuss was about — Bill felt that the President of the United States couldn't afford to appear on television looking weak." (Page 468)

This refers to Clinton's speech after his grand-jury testimony. Mostly, he was just pissed. If he was so worried about the appearance of the presidency, he wouldn't have had Monica service him in the first place.

Actually, I can believe that he's primarily concerned with *appearances*. That's all he's about -- all surface, no substance. If he truly cared about the *institution* of the presidency and not just the appearance (not to mention his vain, ridiculous Legacy Quest), he would not have splooged the Oval Office sink.

Susan McDougal didn't talk because she wanted to live.
