So this law leaves Schiavo as the practical guardian. And the "guardian" has the power to direct everything. The guardian ad letim just represents Terri's interest in court. In Greer's court, she had no GAL. I don't see how a GAL will change anything in this tragic case. And the GAL that the new judge is recommending supposedly also has ties to a hospice or even THIS hospice.
Is there no one for the Schindlers monitoring her throughout the night? I don't see how she survives this night if the vigil is maintained only by her killers.

Why doesn't Bush post state troopers there? Good question, unless they were all just showboating in the first place. I know if I were the Governor I would have dispatched the State Police and the State Medical Examiner to make sure that my order was taken seriously. But that is just me so.......

The judge mentioned Dr. Jay Wolfson - University S. Florida as the GAL. Does anyone know anything about him?
