Terri's brother, Bobby, just reported that Terri is MISSING!! He has been waiting all day to see her, he got the green light, and she's gone...

News 9 reporter said she's gone back to hospice, but the family does not know where she is and has NO CONFIRMATION.

bonfire, the whole bulemia/potassium angle would not give her a rigid neck. Baden didn't see it as plausible because she had obvious head and bone trauma.

Blood chemistries can get very skewed in traumatic injuries.

. It has been reported that she was bulemic, which wreacks havoc with the body's natural chemical balance. Also, it is not uncommon for a person with an eating disorder to abuse laxatives and/or diuretics which, in the case of diuretics, causes potassium deficiency. Perhaps she had taken a potassium supplement, even to excess, which could have caused the severe reaction. Just something to think about.

Yes, this is how MS won the malpractice suit, I believe. He claimed she had a potassium imbalance due to her eating disorder. MS claimed her doc should have been aware of it. And that is certainly possible. And about MS familarity with giving injections, remember that he worked in a restaurant at the time of her collapse. He didn't be come a nurse till a few years later.

Yeah, that's what I thought, which is another reason why I thought it was far-fetched. I didn't realize that the eating disorder was raised in the malpractice suit, although it makes sense that it would be if he was aware of it. It is not that uncommon for eating disorders to be hiddem from family and friends.

I didn't mean to connect the bone trauma with bulimia. I am just suprised that Baden didn't anything about potassium deficiency. I wonder how long Terri was bulemic, what was her health like at the time of her collapse, etc. Was she being treated for bulemia....was she getting better....was her husband supportive....was she bulemic before she met him? etc. etc. etc.

No one claimed she was in a coma.

I would beg to differ on that point. The media has consistently claimed that Terri was in a coma! The media has only recently been changing their description of Terri because of the efforts of many people on this forum and others who have complained. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done because of that misrepresentation. People still perceive Terri that way because of the words that were used by the media.

So Terri WAS being treated for bulemia? I am assuming, yes, otherwise how would her doctor be expected to know her chemical levels?

I am posting this here only because this is where almost all
action is occurring regarding Terri. I seem to be obsessed
with seeing that the right prevails for the Schindler
family.

I'm concerned, though, that something a bit sinister is
going on. Maybe someone here can enlighten me.

Last week (10/26) slimer invited us all to sigh an on-line
petition to Gov. Bush in support of Terri. I was glad to
sign and also took advantage of the opportunity to fax the
governor for $1.95 (a good deal, I thought).

Several days later I checked my credit card account and
found that I had been billed for *four* $1.95 charges.

So, I sent a message from the conservativepetitions.org
web site (I don't have a copy) asing about the multiple
charges. I have not received a reply but tonight discovered
three *additional* $1.95 charges on the 21st!!!

Has anyone else had problems with this site?

It would be interesting if Terri became bulemic during her relationship with Michael. Individuals with eating disorders often have issues of lack of control in their own lives, particularly anorexics.

Could be another symptom of stress within an abusive relationship, imo.

Well, I don't know if she was being treated or not. Generally, it is not a gynocologist, but a psychiatrist, who treats bulemia, and I haven't heard anything up to this point to suggest she was under any kind of psychiatric care. I can't think of any reason why a gynocologist would even know about it if she hadn't told him, unless there were specific problems that were related to the condition...like maybe infertility?

She may have had irregular periods due to bulimia. She was married 6 yrs.? Infertility would definately be a good guess.

huh? He sued her gynocologist? I keep hearing how he has sued this person, that person.... this guy is a sue-happy gold digger! Do we have any documentation of this so we can show people?

Well, that question has come up before, but as bonfire mentioned, he was the one named in the malpractice suit....so that was what we were trying to figure out.
