The WND author of that piece, Kevin McCulloough, issued a "partial retraction" (scroll to the bottom) a day or two later. The quote is inaccurate. Asner's actual quote, which can be found at the link, was not sympathetic to Stalin and only suggested that, from the standpoint of a physical resemblance, he (Asner) would be suited to play the part of Stalin in a film.

Thanks. Robert Duvall, as I recall, did a very good job of portraying Stalin.
