Govt to Push Migrant Deal

President Fox and U.S. counterpart Bush arranged for officials to hold immigration talks in Washington.

Immigration policy will be at the top of the agenda when U.S. and Mexican officials meet in Washington next month the Mexican government announced Monday.

Foreign Minister Luis Ernesto Derbez said he would meet with U.S.Secretary of State Colin Powell on Nov. 13 to "outline a timetable and very concrete actions" regarding migration policies.

Derbez told reporters the meeting was arranged when President Vicente Fox and his U.S. counterpart George W. Bush, met at the Asia-Pacific summit in Bangkok.

There was no breakthrough in that meeting. But Derbez said it served to underscore that talks on immigration face new challenges after the Sept. 11,2001, terrorist attacks against the United States.

"They talked about first operating within a different type of an agreement, not to talk about a general accord but to talk about putting the puzzle together creating the necessary structure so that we can solve the problems little by little," he said.

Derbez said Bush also invited Fox to visit his Crawford, Texas, ranch soon, although no date.

For his part, Interior Minister Santiago Creel qualified as "good news" the inclusion of the migration agenda of the upcoming meeting.

At the meeting, Creel said, Mexico plans to advocate the normalization of the migration status of undocumented Mexicans living in the United States.

The Fox administration will also urge Washington to increase the number of visas granted to Mexico to boost guest worker programs and bolster protection for the human rights of undocumented immigrants in the United States.

They are going to piece it together a little at a time so we stupido gringos won't catch on.

Yes, we could solve the problem now. But our gods in government disagree. How many times in past history have you ever seen 500 men make the wrong decision? They are doing it again.

The FR cheerleaders are on another thread discussing more tax cuts that have been promised by Jorge. The tax Cuts we have received don't even begin to match the increase in health insurance premiums over the same period of time.

I just got hit with new "uninsured driver" surcharge-$200 a year. Lets guess who is uninsured. And don't get me started on the time I went to the emergency room.

Right now, the illegals are costing many people their health insurance policies as the premiums are skyrocketing. People of all backgrounds are aware of this.

You are angry and I am too about the very thing you described. There will be nothing left to leave our children but bills, bills, bills, taxes, taxes, taxes.

You can't get people angry. Not as angry as I am. I write letters and bring it up in as many conversations as possible. I think it is a done deal.

Right On. I get the same letters and calls all the time. You said it perfectly. I particularly liked...

"I will write letters and send them back telling them [Bush/Cheney/RNC] that they have a hell of a nerve to ask me for money when they are selling our country out. I am going to suggest that in the future they send these requests for money to ILLEGAL ALIENS since ILLEGAL ALIENS would seem to be more important to them than ME AND MY FAMILY.We can't trust our own government."

I am also angry with the fact that just about all posts about the illegals come from Mexico.

I wish someone could answer me why GH Bush set this meeting up back in May. It all seems to be behind our backs. I feel very deceived by the Bush family. Everyone has said that GW Bush is his own man independent his padre. Does GW Bush use his Poppy as a currior?

Republicans keep on sending me requests for contributions. I either burn them or write all over them how they are traitors and giving our country away and betraying me and my future generations.

Same thing that I do! I also frequently e-mail the RNC to remind them why I won't send them a cent.

Well, you certanly have a big fat point there. I am of the opinion that other events in recorded history need to be repeated here.

Ok.... if us crackers don't want them and you guys don't want them. there should not be too many sad faces when the Rio Grand becomes a razor wire sieve, right?

Personally, I am all for loading up the cattle cars and handing mr V.F. a bit of a Christmas prez, about a million of them in fact. The would start to clean out the prisons, jails, hospitals and clean up the welfare rolls.

Of course, I am just an "ordinary american." What would I know, right?

Ahh, probably sooner than later we will be "voting from the rooftops."

At that point, I will be following the 'rats advice..."vote early, vote often!"

Do you and your friends send free faxes, through www.numbersusa.com ?
They will email you when ever any bill is introduced dealing with illegal immigration, you can go send free faxes, they write out the messages to send, or you can write your own.
There will be a bill tomorrow, up for a vote, and they want every one to call the members on the committee. If we can get several more committee members to vote no, we can beat it, and it will not get out of committee.
If you would like me to post the telephone numbers I will.
