President Fox and U.S. counterpart Bush arranged for officials to hold immigration talks in Washington.
Immigration policy will be at the top of the agenda when U.S. and Mexican officials meet in Washington next month the Mexican government announced Monday.
Foreign Minister Luis Ernesto Derbez said he would meet with U.S.Secretary of State Colin Powell on Nov. 13 to "outline a timetable and very concrete actions" regarding migration policies.
Derbez told reporters the meeting was arranged when President Vicente Fox and his U.S. counterpart George W. Bush, met at the Asia-Pacific summit in Bangkok.
There was no breakthrough in that meeting. But Derbez said it served to underscore that talks on immigration face new challenges after the Sept. 11,2001, terrorist attacks against the United States.
"They talked about first operating within a different type of an agreement, not to talk about a general accord but to talk about putting the puzzle together creating the necessary structure so that we can solve the problems little by little," he said.
Derbez said Bush also invited Fox to visit his Crawford, Texas, ranch soon, although no date.
For his part, Interior Minister Santiago Creel qualified as "good news" the inclusion of the migration agenda of the upcoming meeting.
At the meeting, Creel said, Mexico plans to advocate the normalization of the migration status of undocumented Mexicans living in the United States.
The Fox administration will also urge Washington to increase the number of visas granted to Mexico to boost guest worker programs and bolster protection for the human rights of undocumented immigrants in the United States.

The "reunion" of Bush and Fox in November was set up May 13, 2003 by Poppy Bush. This has been documented via the Mexican newspapers on Free Republic.

http://cronica.com.mx/nota.php?idc=64563 This article doesn't say the meeting was planned for November. Other Mexican articles mentioned the meeting the same day and I posted those articles that day. I'll see if I can find them this afternoon.

They don't need this - the illegal migrants are getting everything they want without an agreement. This is just window dressing - I am not fooled by it. BALONEY!

Our so-called elected "representatives" (Bush, Dims, Rinos) just don't give up in trying to fully eliminate whatever is left of America's Sovereignty do they? Never mind what they are proposing (which has the look and feel of Treason) is soundly rejected by the American People. To hell with our Borders and American Citizens I guess.

LOL. The other article will be in Spanish also. Immigration is a taboo subject in the U.S. press so to find the news you need to read the Mexican newspapers.
