wouldn't 10/8 just be 5/4?
They are mathematically identical. The difference is fairly academic and emphasizes whether the quarter or eigth note is the basis of the measure.

Thanks. It has been a while since I have played music. I've played in 5/4 and 7/8 but never 10/8.
