The process is called 'dehumanization'. Michael Schiavo, under the apt leadership of George Felos, dehumanized Terri to the point that he imagined himself doing her a favor by 'releasing her body' because her soul was no longer there. But Michael was and is wrong! And his guru is a merchant of death, a ghoul empowered by putting down the infirm, the disabled, a shylock of dehumanization founded on the new societal engineering axiom of quality of life cancelling sanctity of life.

We should make no mistake here for Michael Schiavo found in George Felos precisely what he was looking for ... the rationale, the 'new enlightenment' for getting rid of the woman he had come to perceive standing in the way of his soaring to new life with wealth and influence, his new quality of life awaiting. Michael Schiavo's personality may be found well described in the pages of M. Scott Peck's book, People Of The Lie. Michael oppressed Terri's soul, sucking life from her spirit in her vulnerable state. His influence was as much a drug to slowly kill her will as any narcotic in existence.

Perhaps October 21, 2003 will be remembered as the day our nation began the long climb back up the slope where a judicial oligarchy writes the taboo structure of our nation. Perhaps we will once again have our elected representatives, the legislatures, writing the laws by which we shall promote life. It is interesting that the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and the legislative rescue of Terri Schiavo both occurred on the same Fall day in America. Let's build on the momentum.

Terri is a prisoner in her own body

We're all prisoners in our own bodies. Some of us might like to jump hurdles like they do in the Olympics ---- but we just can't. It's all relative. You have no way of know what Terri thinks or how she feels. She's not bothering your life, she's not hurting you ---- there is no reason she can't be allowed to live until her soul makes it's decision to leave.

Terri's estimated cost for *attempted* rehabilitation was $9.5 million, the jury only awarded her $1.3 million

Where are you getting your figures? Have you taken in to account that her "husband" and Felos squandered the money for her care and should (IMO) be held accountable for misdirecting the original intention of the funds?

She was *not* being rehabilitated. Perhaps if she had received the care that her sobbing lying POS of a husband had promised to provide for her, she could have been home long before the cost of years of neglect accumulated.

But wait! She couldn't have gone home to her "loving husband"....his girlfriend and their child might have found that unacceptable.

Don't forget that Felos found in MS precisely what he was looking for, a client with a "vegetable" wife who "wanted to die". If you read Felos's biography you will notice that he hallucinated that the woman, Mrs Browning, wanted to die. I'll bet he had these same hallucinations with Terri Schiavo. Here's the sick freak's own words:

In the next moment, as this cry of pain and torment continued, I realized it was Mrs. Browning. I felt the mid-section of my body open and noticed a strange quality to the light in the room. I sensed her soul in agony. As she screamed I heard her say, in confusion, 'Why am I still here... why am I here?' My soul touched hers and in some way I communicated that she was still locked to her body. I promised I would do everything in my power to gain the release her soul cried for. with that the screaming immediately stopped. I felt like I was back in my head again."

Can someone tell me why Michael Shiavo's attorney gets so much air time to spew forth his FILTH but I can't say that I have ever seen Terri's attorney(s) say ONE THING. Have I missed something?

Michael's attorney is passionate, emotional, loud and forceful (Satan's faithful servant). Terri's attorney(s) are non existent as far as I know. I mean I know they're working behind the scenes. I guess I wish there had been a better media presence by Terri's attorney(s). Know what I mean?

Or is this just the way the media is spinning?

Thanks for the update! Here's some feedback to share with others.

From EnvoyEncore Blog, author Dwight Longenecker reports the following from England:

Congratulations to pro-life activists in the USA. The Terry Schiavo case was widely reported in the UK press today. This news reverberates around the world through the BBC, and the story will make all eugenticists, euthanasia proponents and abortionists take pause.

I believe battle lines are being drawn around the world on some very key issus. Catholics must be prepared to fight with some very unusual partners in the years ahead. Glimpses of this new alliance are already there in the held hands between Evangelicals and Catholics as well as the alliance with decent human beings of other faiths around the world.

It is not wrong to stand with Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists in defence of human rights, the right to life, the right to morality and the right to the fullness of God's abundant way of life.

Keep the faith, keep the fight and keep an eye to the future.

Well, then, maybe you'd be willing to put a gun to her head and pull the trigger. Oh, but quoting from the Bible which apparently you believe in: "Thou shalt not kill." I understand that you are compassionate toward her "suffering" here on earth and you think she'd be better off dead. But still there's that tricky little Biblical perspective about killing people. Nice try, though.

Or is this just the way the media is spinning?

I have a feeling the media gives one a lot of free air time and the other they choose to ignore. The media is famous for that ---- they are part of the liberal agenda.

Send money to Terri's parents, gobs of it. Don't worry they are honorable people. BUT they are older and Terri may out live them or they may need care, too. So be prepared to have Terri and/or her parents come live with you for stretches of time. Freepers can rotate on the care of all three!

I consider it an honor to care for the "least of us". Sending funds to this family is a brilliant idea. Thanks for your input.

We should NOT base personhood upon functionality. You have described some of the functions of a person but she is still a person and protected by the rights of a person. So is a person, still in the womb.

Who are you to determine what being "alive" means?

Certainly, many who use your argument can, will, and have extended it to include the mentally handicapped, physically handicapped, elderly, and those incapacitated.

Finally, natural death is not starving to death. Why not turn over Terry to her parents? What could be so bad about Terri living? What scares her "husband" and you so much about allowing this woman to live?

So you know what the monetary value of someone’s life is when he or she is still alive. At least that’s what I get from your argument. If this is the case and a single guy with no family is in an accident and becomes paraplegic you must think we should euthanize him since he can no longer provide for himself. How about someone with cerebral palsy, is there a certain point in such a degenerative disease that we should consider euthanizing him or her also.

I see your side of the argument, but I looked past that part to. There are government programs in place for just this type of care that were setup with the aforementioned scenarios in mind. They may have been poorly planned and are not being used for what they were intended, but that should not keep them from doing what they were supposed to do in the first place. We all have a stake in those programs (maybe not by choice), including Terri if she or any of her family were ever employed. It’s not her fault our government steals from these coffers to give illegal immigrants or others (that don’t need it) medical care, education, etc. and she should not be penalized for it.

I am all for smaller government, but if you’re gonna deny one you must deny all.

Felos has also made it clear that after Terri dies, he'll be writing a book about her.

Felos is a damn liar, then. I heard him on TV saying there was no money involved. NO MONEY! The media has gone out of control on this one. They have NOT told the truth from day one. And what's up with FOX News?! They seem to be treating this as a non story. I can hardly stand it!

I did send a FAX to our local Channel 47 to complain about their coverage. And I did send a FAX to Gov Bush thanking him for his intervention. But I guess I didn't do enough. I feel like I failed. This is a wake up call for me and maybe for many other people. We need to get active in pro life again before it's too late.

Still a few copies at abebooks.com of William Brennan's excellent book: "Dehumanizing the Vulnerable ... When Word Games Take Lives"

I'd been meaning to get my own copy for some time.

I have to say this again. Here's another newspaper article quoting Michael Shiavo and his creepy attorney. WHERE ARE TERRI'S ATTORNEYS?! Why are they not quoted in this piece. It's so frustrating!!!
