"Hey, Dr. Julie! How'd I do with my analysis?"

Of course I can't say for sure. There could some dissociation and/or it could reflect a lack of truthfulness.

Two things to consider here: the funny phrases(words) and the facial expressions.

There's been quite a bit of research on facial expressions and truth telling. If someone is telling the truth his/her facial expressions are better timed with what they are saying. This is because a lower part of the brain that is more automatic controls those emotional expressions. If you are not telling the truth you have to think about what your expression should be and this takes more time (granted we're taking about the difference of a second or two but if you are trained you can see it). I definately noticed this on his interviews (too much of a lag between what he was saying and the facial expression).

The funny/strange phrases. I'd like to know how he normally speaks. Assuming he doesn't use these phrases, it could again be a reflection of him trying to control everything that he says. He is not speaking naturally (or automatically). When he is more natural too many things slip (like speaking of her in the past tense on the interview).

Gosh this is getting too long - sorry! I love talking about psychology so I often go overboard.
