It'll never hit Jackie, or if it does, all it'll do is make her cut "Sweetie" loose, bigtime! It's all about HER, in her mind. She wants to play the part of the devoted mother. Right now "Sweetie" is, to her, an extension of her Wonderful Self. Before all this happened, no doubt Scott was a beautiful possession to her--"*I* have a tall, handsome son, all the girls are wild about MY son." Now that her possession is not so perfect (Scott's like a Jaguar that's got too many miles on it), she'll be cutting him loose soon. JMO.
