Scott Peterson's former girlfriend Amber Frey is apparently set to testify at his preliminary hearing that starts next week.

Reporter Gloria Gomez has obtained the list of witnesses that prosecutors will call to build their case that Peterson killed his wife Laci and their unborn child.

Frey says Peterson tricked her into believing he was single during their brief love affair. Amber will likely testify that Scott told her his wife was no longer around, but that even after she learned about Laci's disappearance through media reports, Scott continued to romance her. We're also likely to hear secretly recorded calls allegedly between the two.

But Detective Al Brocchini should also have plenty to add during the preliminary hearing. Sources say Brocchini could spend several hours on the witness stand. He was the first detective on the scene, and may be asked to recount Scott's actions at the Peterson home and at the warehouse where Scott stored his boat.

Sources say Christmas Eve night Brocchini tried to search Scott's storage unit, but was stalled after Scott told him the power was out. Brocchini apparently ended up using a flashlight and car headlights to check out the unit, although allegedly Brocchini found out later that the power was never out.

Lead Detective Craig Grogen and his partner, Detective Jon Buehler will also testify. Grogen may reveal details of his interview with Scott and eventual arrest. What was found during the arrest may be left up to Buehler to describe, like items in Scott's car, which sources say include his brother's ID, camping gear, and over $10,000 in cash.

The next few days will include the testimony of a slew of experts. By the time it all wraps up, prosecutors are hopeful that it will convince the judge to have Peterson stand trial for murder.
