Thanks. Sounds like the dog would be no help under the current timeline. Unless I have the timeline wrong.

Actually, I should correct that. Decomposition begins as the temp decreases upon death, it's just that decomp odors don't begin immediately.

Is that at all clear?

I don't know too much about dogs, only what I've read up on with regard to this case. It seems like the "human scent dog" would still pick up her "specific scent".

A cadaver dog isn't given a specific scent article (like Laci's shoe for example) to track. Seems they just let the cadaver dogs go to try to find *any* decomp scent

Oooh--nice touch: "Your mileage may vary"!!

I think your warning is being tuned to perfection. Perhaps ONE little final touch... perhaps a blank in which the reader must fill in his/her favorite animal, and turn-ons--not necessarily in that order!

It just seemed like it would be too soon for the decomp odor. Another mystery. (to me)

"So, like, was she wearing anything at all?"

She looked like she duct taped a couple of acorns to her chest.

Could certainly explain why the dog was "frustrated".

Well!! I hope you're satisfied! I clicked on your link, and now my e-mail is getting correspondence from someone called "Nautia", something about some sort of special Oriental herb that will "enlarge" something or other!!

How d'ye like that! A person shows a slight interest in some photos, and all of a sudden their e-mail is inundated with spam from photography equipment salesmen!!

Would that scent include dead fish? Like what you might find in a fishing boat? Just curious.
