watch out for the Shetland. Some of them are as mean as a pitbull. (no joke, friend) For a little girl (anyone under 99, or so) the Welch ponies are usually much, much, MUCH nicer. My "Poco" died of old age many years ago, but I will probably remember her when I can't remember my wife and children.

I know about Shetlands, we 'rescued' ours from the neighbors goat farm lol. He thought he was a goat for a while. Anyway when we put him in with our Belgian giant, the shetland kicked his *ss. We had to separate that lil *hit from the other 2 and plan on taking him to auction if he doesn't nice up. Don't count on that though. He was acting so studdy toward Moon our filly. It is a strange thing to see a lil shetland pony kick a draft horse's butt.
