"I tried to feel sad but it just wasn't there."

I didn't even try. I guess I figure that it's high time that he be the one losing sleep for a change.

Hey, Texas. I remember you on an earlier Terri thread today. You said something about how you are strongly prolife, but seeing FReepers make sharp comments to posters (like you, or Jorge-ED) had completely turned you off from being prolife. I'm sorry your convictions aren't strong enough to tolerate pixels on your monitor.

Haven't some cities already setup facilities similar to that? Where unwanted babies can be left and will be cared for?

Or does he mean to kill em? (as if)

Depending on the statute of limitations, she may be eligible for an annulment. Each state has their own criteria but it is usually for people who have no children and who can prove fraud, adultery, etc. There is also a Catholic annulment, but that is more for spiritual purposes and has no legal bearing.

Yes. In fact, the court has a duty to request that.

I saw Atty Felos arguing tonight that what the legislature did by letting Terri live was a BIG BROTHER move. Can you believe it? So how is saving somebody's life Big Brother?

Geez. Big Brother is more like, well, totally the opposite, as in Logan's Run.

Is it gonna give me a stroke, because my blood pressure has been given a workout today?!!

It's 8:30 CA time, I think Nightline isn't on for another 2-3 hours.

FYI: At a press conference held by Terri's attorney this evening, her associated reported that BEFORE Jeb Bush signed the Executive Order, this a.m. ATTY FELOS sent threatening letters to ALL the doctors at Morton Plant Hospital i.e. if any doctor treated Terri, he would sue the hospital. What evil lurks in the hearts of madmen.

This is out in public now and someone at MPH obviously wanted this information to be public knowledge. All I can add is that if an Atty Felos sets up shop in your town because he's not wanted here, avoid him like the plague.

Kinda hard for him since floriduh voter was on the radio yesterday drive time saying that "they were trying to kill her, she was not a comatose woman and that she understood jokes." RIGHT AFTER FELOS WAS ON. So, it turned out that FV was on only once but Felos gave a completely different press conference on the hour. Further, Michael Schiavo was doing his own thing at tbo.com "Terri has been gone for 13 years." (yeah right). FELOS LOST CONTROL OF HIS CASE AND THEN CONTROL OF HIS CLIENT. Then he says the legislature acted like "Big Brother". What an amazing experience over a seven day period. It really feels strange to be inside a building.

Sorry, I misspoke... I meant to say that she should of had a living will. We should all have it in writing. I remember the earlier Florida case that Felos was involved in... where the elderly woman was starving to death.

My mother blithely said, "No worries! I have a living will." And that is exactly when I did start worrying... it doesn't matter what she has written down. I can see my siblings and I marching off to court, on different sides, arguing for or against her care. The living will may prevail, but I think this type of strife would drive a terrible wedge between family members. It truly is a frightening scenario.

he's lying through his teeth...terri's parents have told him,he could move on and they would care for her...now why do you think he refuses to divorce terri?????theres big money waiting for him and also,he has to make sure she dies,so she can never testify how she ended up like this....

I think you misunderstood my point. If an audit is done of Terri's trust fund, and reveals that there's been pilfering which could only have escaped detecion by Terri's death, that would provide criminal motive for wanting Terri dead. Criminal motive plus attempt to kill...

I still don't understand how this can be a right to die case -- she didn't have a living will, right? You need to have your forms signed in triplicate to do anything with government...but in this case, they'll just take someone's word that she would prefer to die? It makes no sense.
