Then I'll have ALL of the people I know, in California, who own dogs, come visit you. And BTW, since the Giants left N.Y., I and all other ex-Giant fans have cursed your team. They aren't the Giants...they're a pale, Californianized bunch of never winners. :-)

The Yankees are THE greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, yeah and you missed Hideo Nomo winning ROY.... and he was the first Japenese import before Matsui, Sasaki, Suzuki or even Hidecki Irabu (blech! to Yankee fans, I'm sure).

You had to remind me of I-ROB-YOU, didn't you? ;)

I remember a Yankee player named Len Sakata, back in the late 1980s. Not sure if he was Japanese-born, though. I do remember him breaking his ankle or something, during a game. Anybody remember him?

Joe's is the best. I went to a 4 day conference there in 1984 and ate there every night and even met Don Johnson in the Miami Vice hey day. I need to get back.

From a BoSox fan- Another great win for New York. 27 is in sight. To the Marlins fans (all three of them) - when your team has more than 30 fans in it's humongo staduim during the regular season I might begin to root for them.

Go Yankees.

Isn't the season over since last week? Why are they still playing baseball? Is it Global Warming making them think it's still baseball season?

I think I am still in denial about the magnitude of the Red Sox loss. When that homerun to win the game was hit I didn't even wait for him to round home but turned off the TV, took a shower and sulked in darkness for a few hours. No one talks about it either. The next day it was not mentioned by anyone. I didn't read a newspaper or watch the news for a couple of days (except for reading and posting on FR of course). One thing that bugs me is this stupid curse talk. It demeans the Red Sox. But even more it demeans the Yankees and their great win. They didn't beat the Red Sox because of some stupid curse. They beat the Sox because they battled back from behind and are a great team with great players and management. When all is said and done- it was a great ride this season. And the series against the Yankees was the best I have ever seen. The seventh game was the best game I have ever seen despite it's tragic end. It would break my heart to see the Yankees lose the World Series. Such a loss to a fanless, no tradition team like the Marlins would make the Red Sox loss even worse.

Go Yankees.

Go Red Sox . . . next year.

It doesn't look like the Yankees are in danger of losing this World Series. It was obvious most of the season they have, once again, the strongest team, which I attribute to their scouting staff.

After last night's win- your right. I think this is going to be a 5 game series. As for management and scouting- New York is great in that area. But I think the A's excel in that department and are the best.
