The concern I voiced was for the LEGAL PRECEDENT implications of this case, not for Terri's individual condition. That web site is hardly an unbiased view btw.

I feel deep sympathy for Terri's parents, but this doesn't really "save" their daughter since she's beyond help. If it turns out that Michael beat her or whatever, then lock the bastard up and throw away the key.

In the meanwhile, this is a decision of the type that is made every day in every state in the union, and like I said, I'm concerned about the legal precedent of capriciously crafting a law to overturn a judicial ruling, just like I opposed a similar case from weeks ago in which the US Congress passed a stupid law to outlaw speech in the form of phone sales calls, and crafted it to allow an unconstitutional restriction.

There you go. You have a bit of reading to do, but these documents definately address your concerns. The fact of the matter is that this ruling is directly supported by the checks and balances built into both the US Federal and the FL State Constitutions. These are the checks that the Legislative and Executive branches have over the Judicial. You are seeing the Constitution in play right now, as the Founding Fathers intended.
