It's stuff like this that will ultimately cause people to take up arms against the judiciary. Exactly so. It's as if courts were put in place to stifle democracy--except by the definition of that term used by the "Democrats."

I don't understand why the Governor should have the power to make decisions on these cases. I don't understand why my ex-Governor had the power to let all the murders on Death Row off the hook before he left office. I do understand why the Florida governor has been given the authority to stop the execution of an innocent handicapped woman - She has the Constitutional right to life.

He is one of the right-to-diers so long as it is not him.
You know, the ones who say, "Don't interfere with nature;Let nature take its course", so long as they are not the one that nature is taking its course on.
When they get sick, they go to a doctor and the doctor prescribes medication to interefere with nature. When they have headaches or any other aches and pain, they areuick to take pain relievers.
Never heard is "Don't interfere with nature; Let nature take its course."
If they are in an accident, they call or want someone to call the para medics to stop the bleeding, transport them to the nearest hospital in order for broken bones to be set, surgery to repair internal damage can be done.
Again, words you never hear, "Don't interfere with nature; Let nature take its course."
It is o.k. to kill Terri or you and me.
But when it comes their turn to practice what they preach, nope.
I hope this suffices as a an explanation, Right- in-Virginia.

THAT HAS TO BE THE GREATEST NEWS I HAVE HEARD, UNTIL I HEAR TERRI IS BEING FED AGAIN!!!!
I bet Michael Schiavo is pi**ing in his pants right now, since he has NEVER been denied by the courts.
Finally some justice, and hopefully more to come!

RESTRAINING ORDER DENIED George Felos, an attorney for Michael Schiavo, said he thought the legislation was unconstitutional. He said it was Terri Schiavo?s right under the Florida Constitution not to be kept alive artificially. A state Appeals Court judge denied Felos? request for a restraining order stopping Bush from ordering the feeding tube restored, The Associated Press reported. But the judge said he did so on technical grounds and told Felos he could refile the request. MSNBC

Granted, the law is a mess in this area, but granting the Governor dictatorial power over families, doctors and patients is a cure that's worse than the disease.
Not if YOU'RE the person who's being starved to death!
To: Cool Guy
It's been several days since the tube was removed. Hasn't permanent damage already occurred?

"Don't interfere with nature; Let nature take its course." I agree with that statement when it comes to pregnant women who want abortions. And if anyone knows anything about nature, they would know it's natural to protect you family, not kill it.

Yes, this is indeed wonderful news for our dear Terri.
But her estranged husband still is the guardian. I wonder if he is still going to restrict the parents visitation.

The judge refused to hear felios petition.
I bet nobody was more surprised than felios at this.

>>>Earlier in Tampa, U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday denied a request by an advocacy group that Schiavo be kept alive so it could investigate whether removal of the tube was abusive.
HEADS WILL ROLL.

If you read the story I linked to in post #47, Judge Greer only denied Felos' petition on technical grounds. Felos can refile the motion, and you know he will.

For sure. I would think that it is high time an investigation was done into the behaviour and the obvious conflicts of interest in this case. The fact that he was appointed to be her Guardian and Court DIRECTED to use the money for her care, he has broken the law of a Trustee imo. That's no little legal matter. He has completely breached the law of a Trustee. And your so right, WHY does he want he dead so badly and then creamated immediately. This guy is dirty.
