Unfortunately, yes. But it does look like the Senate significantly bulletproofed it. In the long run that may be what counts the most.

The state Senate is expected to pass the same measure today and send it to Bush, who likely will sign the bill immediately.

Sure is nice to live in what is nearly the political opposite of California.

Republicans control both houses and can expedite when necessary.
