I concur wholeheartily to your post.FWIW

Thanks. I know some people were really hard on Jeb, but some of those that were the ahrdest on him, are also the ones that were most persistent in keeping the pressure on, as well. I think they were hard on him for what seemed like inactivity, not because they thought he wanted Terri to die. I really think all those calls, emails and faxes let the politicians know that people all over the country were watching and it let the poiticians know that there was support for them to end this forced starvation. They are supposed to take into account the wishes of 'we the people'. Enough of the 'we the people' wanting Terri to live, made their positions known.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil!

FNC just said that Governor Bush has ordered the tube be reinserted. But, they added the 'comatose' woman... grrrrr. Why can't FOX get it right. Do they not know what a coma is?

My Aunt had to go through a similar situation years ago. My Uncle had gone hunting with co-workers. He was tired and went to take a nap. He never woke up. He had gone into a coma. Turned out he had an anurism. He was COMATOSE! She kept him on life support through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, then had the doctor's go ahead and pull the plug. He was considered brain dead. He didn't DO the things Terri does. He didn't move his head. He didn't have open eyes, he didn't follow people or objects with his eyes.

Anyway, she had the plug pulled, figuring to let YHVH's will take over. She would have done so earlier, but because of the holidays and their children, (both under 10). She didn't want their future holidays to be connected with their father's death.

Mu Uncle was truly comatose, unlike Terri.

Sorry for the ramble.

MSNBC commentator..."My guess would be she has been denied only food, not water..." No confirmation.

No, they denied her water too. Not even a wet Kleenex was to touch Terri's lips. Michael and George are careening towards a parched, hot place.

Didn't he get a few hundred thousand dollars too? On top of what Terri got? I suppose he kept that money while spending Terri's. I think he should reimburse the trust fund.

How can we thank HIM enough?

We can never thank Him enough. We are all undeserving of such mercy on our own merits, even Terri. I just can't stop crying and thanking Him as best I can.

I suggest we all spend as much time as possible tonite praising Him, thanking Him and asking Him to please continue turning this country back into a God fearing country once again, believing that He hears and wants to answer our prayers.

"Why there are some people around here who are hell-bent on sabotaging a pro-life, conservative Republican that just saved Terri's life, I'll never understand."

That sabotage has been a source of frustration for this poster!

That's my understanding, too. But the commentator seemed certain to "guess" she had been given water. I doubt it.

I might guess that with MS's golden goose cut off from his control (and we can hope criminal investigations landing on his plate), that he will finally divorce Terri, making way for the Schindler's to assume guardianship.

Yes, I was thinking/hoping the same thing. Should be interesting to see just how long it takes him to finally get that divorce NOW that the 'golden goose' is gone!

What really gets me is that if the money was already gone, he could have just gotten the divorce and let her parents take over her care. But, he didn't do that, and THAT for me raises the red flags. jmo

The inhumane treatment of her is perhaps too hard for them to comprehend, so they want to believe she was given water.

Yes, that's many posters with medical knowledge here have said.
IV first, to slowly get fluids back into her, then food.

I sincerely hope there are doctors there to supervise this.

The usual hospice workers are NOT doctors, and I'm not even sure if they are nurses.

Maybe it was good the Kobe news was saturating all. Rats couldn't use the media to liberal-storm the Fla and US legislatures.

"The heart of the king is like channels of water in the Lord's hands; He turns it however He wishes. Prov. 21:1"

Despite the fact that I am agnostic (but considering returning to Catholicism), I am pretty well versed in Catholic theology. From that perspective, I have to disagree with the implication you are drawing from that proverb.

That interpretation would negate the concept of free will. Free will is God's greatest gift. Free will is the only consistent explanation for all the evil in the world. I don't think God ever revokes that, not even for "kings". The only person who is ever theologically bereft of free will is, ironically enough, the Pope, who cannot use free will to declare a false divine revelation that would counter dogma (the infinitely misunderstood "papal infallibility").

But it's not a day to split theological hairs :) I am more than happy to give my thanks to everyone, God, Jeb Bush and those in the FL legislatures that made this happen. Would you join me?

I might have been one of those who upset you, I hope not! I am a Bush supporter, big time, but felt as time was of the essence we had to hold his feet to the fire. I've already written thanking him and tried to explain the best I could. My guess is he has had a rough week as well as us, but he also has loyal supporters now too.
