I spoke with Rebecca in Senator King's office yesterday. She assured me that Senator King wanted no harm to come to Terri. On the other hand, she had several at-the-ready reasons why they felt(then)that they could not help.
Since early Monday they have been inundated with requests for the Senator's support and help...and something about all those "positive" contacts has made those reasons disappear and cleared the way for the Senator to decide that he COULD help...obviously, Senator King didn't want to take the tremendous amount of heat that would come his way if he blocked action.
