What a disgusting man. I'm sure his lawyer wrote this statement for him.

The fact that you took up with another woman while your wife was still alive and needing your care betrays anything you say here.

"In good times and bad" aren't just words.

Or, maybe they are, to you.

I can't hear you; your actions are louder than your words.

Of course he did. I think they are running scared now.

Methinks he protestest too much. Notice how much time he spends dwelling on yelling at the nurses. And did you notice, he spent MONTHS working with her? Oh my, how did he manage to block out so much time for this woman he loved so dearly?

Michael Schiavo--new definition for scumbag.

I like this part, too: "Terri's parents and family may visit with her as much as they choose in the days to come."

He should have added the part about policemen being in the room with her to make sure someone doesn't slip her a sip of water or a cracker ..... or a communion wafer.

I'm sure you're right about that. Now that he's seen the fight to save Terri gain so much visibility through the internet he's decided to engage in a desperate fight to save his own worthless hide. Whatever happens to Terri (and I'm still praying for her feeding tube to be restored after tomorrow's senate vote), I don't think Lady Justice is done with Michael Schiavo, atty Feros, and Judge Greer. Not by a long shot. He knows it, and he's starting his PR campaign now.

Few of us, hopefully, will never have to live the life all of this family has had to endure. It's really hard to make judgements of any of them, having never walked in their shoes.

Anyway you look at it, this is a heart-rending situation.

Yuh-huh. Hey, here's something you didn't try: hand her over to her parents.

You know, if I'm ever in Terri's position I hope they remove the tube.

Just a little bit from Terri's website:

*Since receiving the award money in 1993, her husband has ceased and prohibited any new or aggressive treatment for Terri. He has only maintained Terri at a nursing home (currently, Terri is in a Hospice facility). He has totally ignored or denied rehabilitation therapy that could possibly assist Terri’s recovery.

*Since 1993, Terri’s husband has consistently and deliberately withheld all medical information and data from Terri’s family. Over the past eight years he has ordered Terri’s caretakers not to reveal any medical or neurological information.

* Michael Schiavo will not permit any doctor to examine Terri other than the doctors he selects.

*As Terri’s legal guardian, her husband has used her medical fund money to offset the legal costs when his guardianship of Terri was initially challenged and to pay the current legal costs to have Terri’s life ended.

*Terri responds regularly to the presence of her parents and friends. Her husband's doctors testified Terri's cognizant responses to Terri’s parents and friends are simply a reflex action.

"Even now, the nursing home staff says that sometimes Terri gags and chokes on the moisture from the swabs they use to moisten her lips."

This isn't even remotely believable. I can't even figure out how this could physically happen to someone who doesn't drool. Heck, I can't figure out how "swab moisture" could make -anyone- choke, even someone who was a complete vegetable.

"Some days they did not put her makeup on. I would storm into the nursing home insisting that they do so. I knew Terri always wanted to look her best."

Ah, the humanitarian. Making sure she gets her daily dose of Revlon but she's not allowed to have Last Communion.

This guy really is repulsive.
