I agree 100% with Prager, and I call the phase we are in "THE COLD CIVIL WAR."

When a large part of your nation (including much of the opposition leadership and most of the prestige media) is secretly cheering for the bloody defeat of your military during a time of war, you are in a Cold Civil War.

When they are working to subjugate American sovereignty to the rule of the U.N., you are in a Cold Civil War.

When they are working for "open borders," driver's licenses for illegals, amnesty for illegals etc with the intention of adding to the voter rolls of the opposition party, you are in a Cold Civil War.

Those are just three examples.

What could turn the Cold Civil War hot? What happened in Florida in the 2000 election was a harbinger of things to come.

If massive vote fraud occurs in a presidential election (can you say "touchscreen voting?") that could well trigger a Hot Civil War. >{? Another trigger could be a manufactured event, such as the bogus "Stadium Massacre" described in my novel.

See also the checklist offered in Civil War II "The Comming Breakup of America" A Checklist, by Thomas W. Chittum and see what you think. Though Prager and Chittum have differing styles and are noting different indicators, their vision is remarkably similar...and unsettling.

What could turn the Cold Civil War hot? What happened in Florida in the 2000 election was a harbinger of things to come.

I'm guessing you might know a little of what was planned in the event Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton's threatened riots unless Gore was installed as President were to take place. I had a very tiny role in some of the contingency planning, which was carried out via couriers- there was not a single telephone call or e-mail message made, so far as I'm aware.

But I'm guessing that an economic crisis/crash would do it too. A rise in the cost of gas to $3/gallon would probably do it after the resulting increases in food and other necessities began to be felt, and a repeat of the Wall Street Crash of 1929 or anything similar that shuts down the ATM machines would likely do it. I've got some references for you on that too, Travis.

BTW, I've added you to the *CWII Pilgrims* list. Totally without authorization!

Geez, can't you post any comments without hawking your "book"? Who is your publisher, anyway? I have a gut feeling you are vanity published. You know, some of your posts (sans book hustlings) are quite informative, and sometimes you make good points. However, I think your credibility suffers when you constantly try and push your book. When you become the advertisement, your message suffers.

That pretty much is a benchmark in my book as well.

Re: "What happened in Florida in the 2000 election was a harbinger of things to come."

The current crop of candidates and the DNC / DLC are a lot more desperate this time. There may not be a Dem who puts America first as Mr. Gore did in 2000. When the shooting starts is strictly up to the left. It's always been the left's war against America NOT the other way around.

From David Frums Diary, NOV. 19, 2002: GORE SPEAKS, based upon an ABC interview. The words are by Karenna Gore.

He said, "We have to do what's best for the country, and it is not good for the country to have this kind of divisiveness. And he was on the phone, really calling off the dogs. There were people who wanted to fan the ... the flames of the racial issue and have real unrest. And he was on the phone asking them not to, because of what was best for the country not because of what was best for him politically. And that's really who he is. [end]

Now the way I read that the Dems were preparing to have people killed and maimed. Property destroyed. Lives ruined. Mr. Gore stopped it.
