Thank you for that wonderful link!! I just sent the following email:
Dear Senator
I do not live in your state, but I want to let you know how much Terri has come to mean for so many people.
Terri has brain damage. She is not comotose, or PVS. She smiles at her mother, she tries to speak, she has fears.
Terri has also not had food or water since Wednesday.
Terri's husband is not looking out for her best interest. She does not have a living will or Durable Power of Attorney. Michael Schiavo never mentioned that Terri would want to die until after he had won a large cash award for her rehabilitation. Not one dollar of that award was spent to rehabilitate her.
He wouldn't allow the nurses to brush her teeth. He didn't allow anything that may draw a response from her. She has been refused the right to go out in the sunshine.
Michael is engaged to be married to the mother of his daughter, and his fiance is pregnant with another child of his. This shows me that he has a conflict of interest in this issue.
Please consider passing Terri's Bill. Terri has a right to live! Her parents have a desire to take care of her. Please help them have that right.
As one of the House Representatives said: His son in law may not always be married to his daughter, but he and his wife would always be her parents.
I will be praying for God to lead you in your decision.
Thank you,
XXXXX XXXXXXX
