We should all also go to Google News and search on Terri Schiavo so that the stories move on to the main news board. The more a story is linked the better chance it has of moving up.

I assume that Terri is heavily sedated. Her parents mentioned that when they saw her the first day the tube was pulled she didn't seem as aware as usual. And it is the norm to sedate someone that is dying in this fashion.

WOW!

I'm impressed!

How joyful her parents must be! I can't begin to imagine the horror and helplessness they've experienced.

Evil has had a setback. Not everyone is on board the culture of death train.

Pray that this woman doesn't die while the Fla. legislature straightens it's 'ties and harumphs righteously. Time is very short.

Everyone, please keep the prayers coming.
Guarded optimism at the vigil tonight, when the news was given by the family.
It is not a done deal yet, but please God, it will be tomorrow!

I think they are probably too fearful Terri will die tonight to be joyful.

Freepers, this is certainly wonderful news, but have to keep praying hard that Terri can hang on. No water since Wednesday -- my God, she must be close to death.

Don't mean to be a downer; I'm just very afraid Terri won't make it through the night.

God, help Terri make it throught the night.

Hmmm... Wow! I don't normally support the idea of cannibalism (except for a few urges now and again brought on by genetic memory) but I will say that if we used this guy, he could feed Terri for a few years, at least...

Thank you so much for that link. I emailed all the representatives last night from a link like this, but hadn't yet emailed the senators. I hope the link you've placed on your post will be cross-posted to the discussion threads about Terri.

I am a grown woman of 38, and I know how you feel. We buried my husband's ashes in July. He died on June 30, 2003, 5 days after the surgery that killed him, and on the very day I was told he could come home for his recovery.

I had to give the order to have life support turned off. Both his lungs collapsed and would not reinflate, his heart did not stand the second operation meant as a last-ditch effort to save him, his blood pressure was very very low and they gave him three times the dosage of the blood pressure raiser , to no avail. They say he was comatose and braindead, and I consented to turn him off.

I feel I was hurried. I know there was probably no hope, but God, that very day I had hopes they were going to save him. If only I had had a few days...But his doctor and his own mother were encouraging me to shut him off, and I just wanted to get the nightmare over with and start grieving. So I gave in,and my husband of over 14 years died a few minutes later.

Terri Schindler * is far more responsive then was my husband, that last horrible day. Where there's life , there's hope. She is said to be an excellent candidate for therapy and rehabilitation, and was deprived of it these 13 years only because her "husband" didn't want to waste the money he wanted to spend solely on himself and that female with whom he cohabits.

I would like to see the Schindlers spared the hell I've been in for the last 3 1/2 months, and I now believe there is a chance they will. Thank you, Jeb, and the 63 decent representatives! May the senate follow their lead tomorrow...And may Terri survive that long, and be 'retubed' in time, without any further damage to her system!

*I will NOT call her by the last name of her attempted murderer, who-God help us!-may still be successful, given the delay till the senate vote and the damage that's been done to her over the past 6 days)

Thank you, now we have got to stay on JIM KING.....805-487-5229 the ladies at both his local and state office this morning were not saying what the news reports are now saying.

We need to also have legislation to prevent this kind of thing from happening in the future!!

I read the comments you posted. Whoa. Some real sickos out there. Since when IS it Constitutional to starve a woman to death because of being disabled? Can someone please point that out to me? Since when is it Constitutional for a judge to order this woman to starve to death BECAUSE the husband who is living with another woman and having his SECOND child with her will then have money for his dead wife (life insurance and balance of money awarded to Terri).

Please show me where this is justified in the Constitution? WHERE?
