put a tongue depressor or icecream stick inside the hole with some glue on each end, and a weight to hold it in place while the glue dries. take a piece of plasterboard just smaller than the hole, dab some glue on it and press the glue to the stick. let it dry. then fill the gaps with spackeling compound. then paint it.
Isn't this way off subject, or have you been punching in walls in frustration over the Terri thing?
