Barbara Bush Mocks 'Sorry Group' of Democrat Wannabes

Former first lady Barbara Bush doesn't think much of the Democrat White House wannabes trying to topple her son.

"So far, they are a pretty sorry group, if you want my opinion," she said this morning on "Today." "This is the world according to Barbara Bush, not George, not George H.W., not anybody."

Her hubby noted the donkeys' abuse of "vicious rhetoric" against the president.

"The one who makes, you know, the most outrageous charges against the president, and then he gets his 20 seconds on the evening news," former President G.H.W. Bush said. "Hey, I didn't ride in here on a watermelon cart, I know how it works."

Mrs. Bush, who is promoting her book "Reflections: Life After the White House," expressed surprise that her son could defeat the leftist establishment in 2000.

"I just thought it's too difficult," she said. "And you're not going to like this, but my gut feeling is that all the media is against George, Republicans, any Republican."

Hey, is that a slur against his successor? /sarcasm

Nice to see an influential Republican pointing out the obvious and taking on the corrupt media.

Other Reps are afraid of being on the media hit list.

I can only hope that Mr Bush does not present that award dedicated to him...to Teddy Kennedy, who libs chose only to embarrass the Bush Family in a low class attack.

Katie Couric's response to the last charge: "I am not against your son. I just voted against him, will vote against him, and will use my pretty (come on, you know I'm drop- dead gorgeous) face to unite all empty- headed soccer moms against him. See, I'm all in favor of him."

"...my gut feeling is that all the media is against George, Republicans, any Republican."

Truer words are not often spoken. Thank you, Madam...

Who selected him again? It can't be anyone Bush, Sr. appointed to a board, right?

I seem to remember Barbara Bush effectively calling Mrs. Zaccaro a bitch in 1984.

"A sorry group" is a pretty accurate characterization. Except for Lieberman, I wouldn't want any of them to hold a position of responsibility higher than dog catcher of Elko, Nevada. And, no, I'm not kidding. These clowns are pandering to people in places like Ithaca, NY; Berkely, CA; Ann Arbor, MI and Madison, WI.

Kucinich isn't even qualified for the dog catcher job. He's barely qualified to run a soup kitchen in Ohio City.

Yes, that was funny. She was angry at Geraldine Ferraro's slams at GHW Bush's wealth and said to a reporter(off record) that "she's one to talk, that 2 million dollar-I can't say it but it rhymes with rich". No doubt, b**ch is the correct word Ferraro. Barbara is not one to mess with.
