You're probably right, more's the pity.
The ONLY Hollywood figure I can think of who has the resources necessary for such a film, and the skills to produce, direct, and star in it would be Mel Gibson, and notice how he's getting beaten about the head and shoulders lately, just for making a historic movie about Christ?
My bet is, he'd make a good war film (he's done it before), but he might be a little tired of getting mercilessly attacked at this time.

The problem is, we stopped fighting for the entertainment world a long time ago, and it's biting us in the rear.
Aside from Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Tom Clancy, does anyone know of widely-recognized entertainers who are unashamed conservatives?
The way back is going to be long - we're going to be guerillas in essence, and it will be a long time before there are conservative studios to go along with liberal studios.
The real hard part is going to be finding conservatives who have the inclination to write, act, and in general, be entertainers.
