I usually get really cool Jimmi Hendrix songs stuck in mine, but I did have Baby Elephant Walk the other day.

Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line...

If it is a Hendrix song it is almost always 'Manic Depession'.

"Figures I'd find you here..."

There are always a few that can be counted on to show up on these weird threads. Where is Chad anyway?

Sometimes instrumentals get stuck in my head, like Music Box Dancer, or Classical Gas.

Among the songs respondents picked as most likely to become stuck were: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," the Chili's restaurant "baby back ribs" jingle and "Who Let the Dogs Out."

Sometimes I hear all three simultaneously!

Oh, Lord save us!

I used to work with a guy...once in awhile just to bug us, he would put on "Baby Elephant Walk", set it to loop, and then lock up his computer so we couldn't turn it off.

Actually it is curious that Kellaris gets Byzantine chants stuck in his head.

When I saw the thread, I immediately jumped on it to suggest my usual cure for 'earworms': Singing a particular Byzantine tone setting of the Theotokion "It is truely meet." Whether it's the intersessions of the Theotokos Herself or the fact that the Byzantine setting is sufficiently unsettling to the musical sensibilities of those of us who grew up on Western music, I don't know, but it usually works. :-)====

"What have you done for me lately" Coalchamber

Yeah, right. Did you just make that up?

When you're alone
And life is making you lonely
You can always go

Keep the home fires burning
Though your heart is yearning
Though the boys are far away
They dream of home
There's a silver lining
In the dark clouds shining
Turn that lining inside out
Till the boys come home

Well she's all you'd ever want,
She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner.
Well she always knows her place.
She's got style, she's got grace, She's a winner.
She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady.
Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine.
