Just got off the phone with King's Jacksonville office. The lady told me the special session was called to address budget issues and that Byrd may introduce Terri's Bill but that it will have no effect on Terri's situation...the Gov has no constitutional authority to intervene
````````````
I was told the same thing this morning.. that there was no legal way to interfere with what was going on with Terri, that even if the bill was approved (she said it would not be) that it would have no effect on terris situation because it would not be "Retroactive"... and that the vote on such a bill, again if it were to happen, would not happen until THURSDAY...
So, there is what I was told, which is in accordance with what you were told. I dont see this being able to help terri if all that has been stated is true.
Anyone have any other info that might give me some hope?
The family is also appealling with a Judge Moore to stop the starvation process. No dates were given as to when he would decide or anything though.
Well, it just so happens that after lunchtime, Jim King's office changed their tune. I also heard that while calls were placed to agencies in Tallahassee, folks up there at various offices reported steady stream of faxes cranking out. This was the biggest freep of my life. Every room in my house has Terri notes, stuff, thrown clothes, camera equipment, briefcases, file folders - in other words, a big mess! When Terri is saved and back on the feeding tube, I can clean up this place. There are many messy households in Tampa Bay and beyond.
