PANEL APPROVES BILL TO LET BUSH INTERVENE IN SCHIAVO CASE

(Tallahassee, Florida-AP) -- Florida's legislature has taken another step toward letting Governor Jeb Bush intervene in the case of a comatose Florida woman.

A state Senate panel approved legislation today aimed at allowing Bush to order the woman's feeding tube be reinserted in defiance of a court order that allowed her husband to remove it.

The bill would give the governor 15 days to order that a feeding tube be reinserted into 39-year-old Terri Schiavo, who has been in a vegetative state since 1990.

Schiavo has been at the center of a court battle between her parents and her husband. The parents want to keep her alive -- but her husband says she would never have wanted to live this way.

Her feeding tube was removed last Wednesday. Doctors said she would die in a week to ten days without the tube.

The full Senate will vote on the measure tonight.

Her life is at stake. Someone should start her feeding tube now so that not more damage is done. I read of others who after years in a coma have recovered.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned--I went directly to the last posts--but note that the AP has described Terri as "comatose." This is an outrage. I noticed this in my local paper this morning as well. The media are flat out EVIL. They twist everything to fit thier sick agenda.

Palestinian terrorists are described as fighters and Terri is described as comatose. What an outrage.

I have to admit that I was torn over this case. I have learned, however, to watch how the liberal media responds. Since they have decided to warp the facts against Terri, then there is NO doubt in my mind that it is the right thing to do to save her and they need to act FAST.

The same thing happened with Arnold here in California. I was not sure I would be able to vote for him--I was leaning towards McClintock--until the leftist rats in the media started to pound on him. Then, I knew we had to get behind Arnold.

I continue to offer prayers for Terri and her family.
