Hey! I believe in the home team. Nothing more American than that.
I spent my first 35 years here with NO MLB team! It was a big night when we went to see the AAA Phoenix Giants/Firebirds on dime beer night!

Mondesi was the Yankees' right fielder for about a season. He pouted when he was pinch hit for late in a game. After he was shipped to Arizona he said the Yankees discriminated against Dominican players. I guess he was the Yankees' Carl Everett (BoSox fans know what I mean). He's considered by many to be an underachiever.

"The Boston papers are awash with want ads for mental health care workers. The Red Sox fans may single handedly cut a point off the unemployment rate and get W elected in a walk. :-}"Now that's funny!

Another sign of the apocalypse: Giambi hits to left field.

"So he's been in a bad slump. He was MLB player of the month in September...."And in August Soriano hit a big fat ZERO...
What this means is Soriano will be due for a strong November.

Matsui at bat.
Takes a pumpkin for a first strike.
Second pitch. Bounces a curve.
Third pitch. Fouled off.
Fourth pitch. Inside.
Fifth pitch. High foul back.
Sixth pitch. Ground out. But a good look at Wednesday's starter.

My brother-in-law was at the Giant debacle today.
Unbelieveable. Thing like this usually happen to the Jets.

Another leadoff batter on. But what the heck, it's worked for the Yankees so far.

You're being mean, now. We have NO team here in Oklahoma despite being the home state of Mickey Mantle and others.

Is it just me, or are we all burned out tonight?
Didn't think I would say it by now.

After going through the SF playoff collapse last year, and the Dallas game this year, I
expect the Giants to blow every game.
To tell you the truth, I avoided watching the game save for five puny plays. One was a fumble by Shockey just before the end of the first half; two were the final two offensive plays of the game for this NFL corpse.

"Is it just me, or are we all burned out tonight?"We're all still fried by that game 7 win against the Red Sox. Let's face it -- playing the Florida Marlins even though it's the World Series is anti-climactic compared to that series.

New York football post-Parcells is an exercise in stupidity.
Why should we suffer so? There are so many other things to do on a Sunday afternoon.
