(Sunday 19 October 20:00) Three Israelis were murdered by terrorist gunfire in the Shomron shortly before 19:00 tonight. The terror attack occurred near Ein Yabrud, an Arab village located [northeast of Ramallah] in proximity to the Shomron community of Ofrah. According to the preliminary information available, the Ofrah paramedic ambulance was informed of the attack at 19:00, immediately responding to the location a short distance away. It remains unclear at this time but reports indicate the initial response may have been delayed due to ongoing gunfire.
An army report indicates that in addition to the gunfire, a bomb may have been hurled at the victims. This has not yet been confirmed.
In addition to the Ofrah MDA bullet-resistant ambulance, a bullet resistant military ambulance with a physician on board was also dispatched to the scene. The medical team was unable to resuscitate three of the victims who were pronounced dead on the scene. A fourth victim was transported in the Ofrah paramedic ambulance to the trauma unit of Jerusalems Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. There are also reports of an unspecified number of persons who sustained light injuries.
The site of the latest Arab terror attack is the same location where Ofrah resident 30-year-old Assaf Hirschkovitz was murdered on May 1, 2001, between the junction to Beit El and his home community of Ofrah.
Hadassah trauma unit officials report the victim has arrived and appears in moderate condition. The army has imposed a curfew on Ein Yabrud. A manhunt for the terrorists is ongoing. Helicopters have been deployed. The Ofrah first response team remains deployed awaiting further instructions from the army.

Another sad event. The Pallies need to be sent to other Arab countries to live with those of their own kind. They need to leave ISRAEL forever.

Can anyone explain to me why ALL Israeli's aren't armed.

2,358th verse, same as the first.
How many decades is it going to take for the rest of the world to realize that to the Pali's, peace is NOT an option?

JERUSALEM - Palestinian gunmen attacked an Israeli army foot patrol near a West Bank village on Sunday, killing three soldiers and wounding a fourth, rescue services and security sources said.
The gunfire attack took place near the Palestinian village of Ein Yabrud, east of the town of Ramallah, not far from the Israeli settlement of Ofra.
Israeli security sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Palestinians attacked a patrol in the area, killing three soldiers and wounding one.
Israel Radio reported that the Palestinians also detonated an explosive in the attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility. In the past, gunmen from the Al Aqsa Martyrs. Brigades, loosely linked to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, have been active in the area, which is near the town of Ramallah, where Arafat has his headquarters.
The area has been the scene of repeated Palestinian gunfire attacks at Israeli vehicles during three years of fighting.

never, the world is too busy hating israel.
we never hear a peep from anyone in support of israel's war against terror (with the exception of our president) so i'm not holding my breath.
i was radicalized over 20 years ago when i became aware that no one will come to the aid of israel. i've faced facts and at this point i've never been proven wrong, i'm furious but also very, very sad.

Unless Israel asserts itself, this crap will continue until there are no more Jews.
Making empty threats against arabrat and then backing down is no way to fight a war. Burying dead Jews is no way to fight a war.
Could Israel pursue a more self-destructive path?
Israel's weakness encourages the world to kill Jews. Look at France, look at the Malaysian PM's calling for "Final Victory" against the Jews before the leaders of 57 islamic countries representing 1.3 billion muslims.

Me, too. I was radicalized about three years ago when I realized that descriptions of Palestinian killing of Jews were spun beyond recognition.
Using words such "militant" instead "terrorist", "suicide bombing" instead of "murder", etc, the media creates a morally equivalent conflict. It takes quite a bit of digging to get at the truth.

and people like Yonif helping to bring issues to the public Yonif does a yeoman's work in bringing the issues to Free Republic, of that there's no question. But the public at large is still not getting it, I suspect. This rally last elicited no remark even in the local leftist media, so far as I was able to gather. (But the pictures are there regardless.)

My answer ..... Israel should obliterate the Iranian nuclear program.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1003770/posts The immediate danger from a nuclear-armed Iran is not that they will pump a missile into Tel Aviv, as Ayatollah Rafsanjani has boasted in the past. They are not so crazy. The threat itself is sufficient to win concessions from any enemy; whereas acting on the threat would only bring Armageddon. A deployed nuclear arsenal instead provides its owner with the freedom to do anything else he wants, with near impunity. And that "anything else" is likely to consist of using Hizbollah, and other Iranian-controlled terrorist assets, to rekindle the Islamic Revolution which Khomenei began, far beyond Iran's borders.

Israel should obliterate the Iranian nuclear program. I have great belief that they are going to do just that....The question is, whether or not US will be on their side after they bomb the nuclear sites, or will the US criticize Israel like it did after the 1981 Israeli bombing of the Iraqi reactor.

These are terrorists. The reason? These same individuals and groups target civilians. That is their aim - to kill as many civilians as possible. Israeli soldiers are killed when they go after the terrorists or when they protect civilians from harm. They are not "guerillas."
However, one can make the argument that this was not a terror attack, but the death of soldiers coming from terrorist gunfire.

The senior commander stated the IDF would continue fighting the ongoing terrorism in an effort to bring an end to attacks.

Accually they are guerilla. Sometimes guerillas use terroristic methods. Like in Chechnya.
The pure terrorists are those who plant bombs at civilian targets.
But anyway both types are enemies.
Yonif I want to ask you about this statistics. Just found it on one forum. Is it reliable?
