I understand your point, but I for one am very disillusioned that someone like Jeb Bush does not AT LEAST take the oppurtunity to make a formal press conference where he says something not like, "Hey, there's nothing I can do," but more like:
"My fellow Americans, I am deeply offended and shocked that in our nation today, an innocent American is being deprived of life, via court edict, without due process of law.
"As Governor of Florida, I have exhausted every venue, legally, to circumvent this atrocity. It is immoral and disgraceful, and should not be happening in the United States of America, the self-proclaimed Land of the Free."

Unfortunately, he has not taken any steps to forcefully condemn the unspeakable horror of what is happening, so all we are left with is "Hey, there's nothing I can do."
