Please post prayers here for Terri's parents to read....

May God have mercy on her killers. May God forgive them.

May the evil one be banished from this country.

May Christ continue to abide at the bedside of Terri and continue to bestow upon her His peace and mercy.

Day 5, I think, now, means it is time to be serious about prayers for Terri to not suffer. Please fast if you can and email clergy and others to ask them to join us in prayer.

Martyr Varos and with him Seven Hosiomartyrs lived in Egypt during the period of several persecutions against Christians (late third to early fourth century). Varos (Ouaros) was a military commander and secretly a Christian. He gave assistance to many of the persecuted and imprisoned Christians, and he visited the prisoners at night. He also brought food to the prisoners, dressed their wounds, and gave them encouragement. Once Varos spent a whole night talking with seven imprisoned monks. These men were Christian teachers who had been beaten and starved. Varos marched with the teachers when they were led to their execution. The judge, seeing Varos' strong faith, had him fiercely beaten. Varos died during the beating. After his death, the monks were beheaded.
