Those who stand Vigil have asked that a Prayer Thread for Terri Schiavo be started for any wishing to comfort and encourage Terri's family and friends and those who have labored on her behalf. Another Vigil will be held at 1:00 p.m. today at the Woodside Hospice, and another will be held at 3:00 p.m. today in front of the White House, through the efforts of an organization for the disabled.
One of our traveling FReepers is now at the Vigil and has met with Terri's family and speaks of their enormous grief. Terri's mom has been given some lotion, which she will use to tend Terri's feet. Prayers posted will be printed and given to Bob and Mary Schindler and their son and daughter ~ may they find some measure of comfort in our words.
Be for Terri the mighty Jehovah, the one true God, even as those around her think they are in control of her life and death.
Be for Terri:
Jehovah Shammah, the God who is near to her
Jehovah Shalom, the God who is her peace
Jehovah Rophe, the God who heals her
Jehovah M'Kaddesh, the God who sanctifies her
Jehovah Rohi, the God who is her shepherd
Jehovah Nissi, the God who is her banner
Jehovah Jireh, the God who is her provider
Jehovah Tsidkenu, the God of justice
As You, Jehovah Jireh, provided an ongoing supply of food from the five loaves and two fishes, please provide ongoing sustenance for Terri from her last meal four days ago.
We pray that You would be her Jehovah Shammah, staying by her side, that all who are near may feel Your presence and know that Thou, alone, art God.
We pray that You would be Jehovah Shalom to Terri and her family, filling them with a peace that passes all understanding.
We pray that You would be Jehovah M'Kaddesh and sanctify Terri, even as she is denied last rites in one final evil move by her husband.
And Lord, I pray, selfishly perhaps, that You would be Jehovah Tsidkenu, meting out Your justice on those who perpetrated this evil on a precious, innocent, harmless young woman.
Bless Terri, dear Lord, in Jesus' name.
Amen.
My Dear Child:
My love, I love you (John 15:9). I have called you by your name, you are mine (Isaiah 43:1). Before I formed you, I knew you. Before you were born, I consecrated you (Jeremiah 1:5). You did not choose me, I chose you (John 15:16). Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers (III John 2).
Because you are precious to me and honored, I love you (Isaiah 43:4). I have loved you with an everlasting love and I will continue my constant love (Jeremiah 31:3). How can I abandon you? My love for you is too strong (Hosea 11). I love you so much that I hung on the cross at Calvary. I died for you and if you believe in Me, you will have everlasting life (John 3:16). Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Yes, even should she forget, I will never forget you. I cannot forget you. I will hold you in the palm of my hand (Isaiah 41:13). I am with you always until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20).
Do not let your heart be troubled, trust in me (John 14:1). I will help you (Isaiah 41:4). When you pass through the deep waters, I will be with you. Your troubles will not overwhelm you. The hard trials that will come will not hurt you (Isaiah 43:2). When you walk through the valley of the shadows of death, do not be afraid because I am with you. My rod and my staff will comfort you. I will lead you in the path of righteousness (Psalm 23).
I will give you peace in the midst of a storm, not as the world giveth. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Peace I give which will pass all understanding and shall keep your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). When you lie down do not be afraid, your sleep shall be sweet (Proverbs 3:24). My love for you will keep your dwelling safe (Psalm 4).
Beloved my eyes are upon you and I will give you hope, for I am merciful (Psalm 33:1). You will have access to my grace and rejoice in hope while sharing in the glory of my Father (Romans 5:2). I will give you joy and peace. The mountains and the hills will sing and the trees will clasp their hands before you (Isaiah 55:12). You may have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice and no one will take your joy from you (John 16:22).
Do not worry (Luke 12:9). Even the hairs on your head have all been counted so there is no need to be afraid of anything (Matthew 10:30). The mountains may depart and the hills will be shaken but my steadfast love for you will never end (Isaiah 54:10). Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:2).
Come, my love, come. I will lead you into solitude and there I will speak tenderly to your heart. I will be true and faithful. I will show you constant love and make you mine forever. I will keep my promise and you will really know me then as never before. I am who I am (Exodus 3:14). I am the Lord your God (Hosea 13:4).
Your faithful friend,
Jesus.
P.S. I AM the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13)
I've taken the liberty of linking this thread to it.
May His peace and warmth be felt by Terri and all who anguish at witnessing the barbaric termination of her life by the one who would dare attempt to replace Him.....the state.

.
Be for Terri this day everything that she needs ~ be for Bob and Mary, and Bob and Suzanne, everything that they need ~ be for those who weep and pray and stand, everything that they need, for surely there is none but You.
Our Father, Which art in Heaven, Hallowed by Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil ... For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, Forever, Amen ...
Heavenly Father, forbid that we act in Your place ~ continue to speak to those who can release this precious one ~ may You determine the length of our days, and not man ... in the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
Heavenly Father, knit our hearts as one as we seek Your mercy upon Terri ~ sustain her in this hour ~ armed guards may keep the people away, but You are there in her midst. Minister to her that she might have a true sense of Your presence, and may You use her to minister to those around her, for surely there are those who have been blinded to the truth. Appear in her room in such a way, dear Lord, that all must say ... surely, the Lord is in this place. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ~
In the hour of trial, Jesus, plead for me; Lest by base denial, I depart from thee. When thou seest me waver, With a look recall, Nor for fear or favor Suffer me to fall.
With forbidden pleasures Would this vain world charm, Or its sordid treasures Spread to work me harm; Bring to my remembrance Sad Gethsemane, Or, in darker semblance, Cross-crowned Calvary.
Should thy mercy send me Sorrow, toil, and woe, Or should pain attend me On my path below, Grant that I may never Fail thy hand to see; Grant that I may ever Cast my care on thee.
When my last hour cometh, Fraught with strife and pain, When my dust returneth To the dust again, On thy truth relying, Through that mortal strife; Jesus, take me, dying, To eternal life. ~Amen
Trussell, please use your list to call the Prayer Warriors into earnest prayer. Thanks ~
