OK, this is going to sound out-there, and it's easy for me to propose this, since I'm all the way across the country from Florida, but...

What about someone, perhaps a priest, going to see Terri and giving her as much water as he can and willingly getting arrested? Even a few ounces of water would buy Terri some time, and the publicity that would arise from a priest's being arrested for giving water to a dying woman just may turn this situation around.

Freepers, what do you think?

You would think they would allow a priest in to administer last rites, so your idea has merit. All the Father has to do is bring a little more holy water than he would ordinarily need.

Of course the monsters keeping her may deny last rites in a final fit of spite, or say that it's been done previously (maybe it has, but tha doesn't change the need to administer last rites now).

Great idea...someone is going to have to do just this sort of thing...risk all to save this woman.

I believe if more people would...it would turn around just like it ultimately did in Klamath Falls in 2001.

IF true---not everything out of FL being true---it should be on the news, with an interview of the priest confirming that she swallowed the wafer.
And if he was threatened by Schiavo with arrest, I certainly hope he took him up on it. This sort of thing gets media attention and that's what we need there.

I think someone should do something, but what? I have
wondered why the parents haven't gotten her away from
the husband years ago, but I have learned a long time
ago I don't understand a lot of things. I wonder whether
most people, clergy included, aren't very, very comfy
with the status quo and unwilling to "break the law" or
rock the boat.
