Exactly.
The story at Klamath did not end there. The federal officers came back in force and took the headgates at the point of a gun...but those God-fearing farmers did not turnt tail and run home. They stayed the course, isolated the fedral officers, pumped water around them...made it clear they were committed to the end, to risk everything to right an obvious and onerous wrong...and ultimately prevailed with God's help.
IMHO it is going to take the saem type of commitment in Florida to right this wrong.

I agree.
My fear is that some people might be so driven by frustration that they'd "storm the bastille", which would be really really bad all around -- failure of "the misssion", followed by rapid passage of some brutally draconian laws.

Thank you for posting the Klamath story. I enjoyed reading about "the good guys" winning one!
It also seemed similiar to a story my father was sharing with me when I visited him recently, he lives in the Couer 'de Alene area of Idaho.
I'm starting to think that the referances he was making about various special interest groups getting laws passed at a federal level that ended up screwing over the American people was in direct referance to this case in Klamath in at least one instance.
Nevertheless, it was enjoyable reading and once again thanks for the link.
