Here's something I wrote about Israel with a bit of Revelation thrown in:

Israel

A beacon in a sea of darkness,
a contrast from utter starkness,
holding a special place in history,
traveled by the magnificent man of mystery,

It is where it all began,
special is that blessed land,
built by the Creator’s hand,
beauty springing from the sand,

But this beacon of light,
must continue to fight,
the forces of darkness,
because of the utter starkness

Many battles will be fought,
many terrors will be wrought,
a plan of peace will be bought,
which will be all for naught,

It will be for seven years,
after three, there will be tears,
the people will know great fear,
only then will it become clear,

That it has all been written,
Israel will be smitten,
by the armies from the east,
the armies of the Beast,

But, those who remain in their Faith,
will have a shorter wait,
before long, Yahweh will act,
His Angels will counter-attack,

The armies will be driven back,
discovering their great lack,
as their blood will flow,
soon they will know,

That the Savior is on His way,
He will win the day,
those dressed in a white robe,
will be blessed, as was Job
