If the evolution fairy tale is real, it took humans less than 2 million years to evolve to the atom splitting, space traveling animal we are. Dinosaurs were susposedly evolving for 10's of millions of years, why did they not achieve such greatness? I have stumbled upon it! The mystery of the disappearance of the dinasour is solved, they built huge space craft and migrated to a more hospitable planet! let's teach it to the children now! Pass my a banana, grandpa!

I honestly don't pretend to know how life came about on earth. I have observed natural selection in operation. As for evolution as we understand it, I have my rational doubts.

As for the topic of the thread, with the exception of mathematics, I think it a mistake to raise children telling them "This is how it is," and later expect them to be good scientists. Over and over in my career I have seen theories tumble in the face of data. We might as well start raising kids to expect it.

Children are pretty smart. If you tell them, "This is a current theory, but we really don't have enough data to know," they find it exciting. It leaves room in science for them to find some of those answers. If you tell them, "This is how it is and you are wrong to think any other way," and then they find out that the theory you were spouting was wrong, you lose credibility as a teacher but they are stuck with bad intellectual habits.

Kids learn fast. In out little home school, I sometimes give them an old textbook (usually better written than new books), have them read it, and then tell them what has changed since it was written. They get big smiles realizing that we're all human and have a lot to do before we grow up.

Are you so close-minded that you couldn't allow that God made things happen on the evolution timeline?

If God is in charge of this casino & He is-He set the rules at point zero, Day One. He could have created everything yesterday. How would we know if he so arranged the rules as to make us blind to the event? 'Things' would work a bit differently for us today, but that could have been done-if desired. 'Us' would be very different & our perceptions, if we had them, would be so arranged.

God is the Original Cause. He set the Rules ( we call them Physics, Biology, &etc ). The micro & macro processes are controlled by the rules. There is flexibility in the system-we use the words uncertainty ( in Physics ), free-will ( in religion & psychology ), &etc.

Such rules likely don't exist 'outside' our Universe-ever wonder what is 'outside' our little play-pen?

Evolution is His greatest scheme-He knew the end before He began, like a brick-layer arranging the erection of a large & complex building-a building which can change over time.

He may reset the rules at the next Big Bang.

I really dislike the blindness of so many on these threads-those who ignore the possibilities. Those who are content with half an answer. To me, the answers seem self-evident, considering the possibilities.

No, actually, it took several billion years. It's just that for a great part of that, the life forms reproducing on this planet couldn't be classified as "human".

Dinosaurs were susposedly evolving for 10's of millions of years, why did they not achieve such greatness?

Never the right mutations in the right environmental conditions.

I have stumbled upon it! The mystery of the disappearance of the dinasour is solved, they built huge space craft and migrated to a more hospitable planet!

Evidence for this assertion, or are you just making inane statements and pretending that they have as much validity as real science because you're too lazy to study real science? Or are you too afraid to study real science for fear that the answers will challenge your worldview, so you remain deliberately ignorant so you can metaphorically stick your fingers in your ears and pretend that if you don't know better, you must be right?

I notice that you diverged into this non-sequitur when you ran out of counters to the "humans are animals" statement. Of course, you weren't really countering the statement, you were just waving your hands about and shouting "IS NOT!" I suspect that you resorted to this non-sequitur because you realised that by all scientific definitions you are wrong, so you're trying to make people forget about your little blunder.
