A tom cat and a tabby cat were courting on a back fence at night.
The tom leaned over to the tabby with pent up passion and purred, "I'll die for you!"
The tabby gazed at him from under lowered eye lids and asked, "How many times?"

Good evening finest sistahs and friends. Spent a lovely day in Columbus at the theater...dinner..etc. (The play is called "Urinetown"...knew little about it except that it just won a Tony a few years ago...at first I saw it as trashing conservatives...but actually it was a humorous spoof of all sorts of musicals...great talent, song and dance.... Lots of fun.
Just arrived home and are "pacifying" the kids (Codee, Giz and FredtheCat) for being away yet another Saturday. They can guilt trip like no others. (except for the "kids" of all you other petowners out there)
Have a wonderful evening and blessed Sunday morning. See you all tomorrow!

We started off with fog, and it stayed cool until about noon, then warmed up to about 72..our normal temp this time of the year. I am hoping for a mild winter, as I can see from just the cold fronts that my hands are going to suffer a lot this winter.

What's A Church For?
Read: Ephesians 4:1-16
Where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 1 Corinthians 3:3
Bible In One Year: Matthew 23-25
Every time I hear about a church fight, I cringe. When my wife and I went out to eat with a pastor friend, he told us about some of the things that people in his church have squabbled about. Christians have been pitted against Christians over such issues as the color of the carpet, the thermostat setting, and whether the choir should wear robes.
Pastors have been run out of town during these kinds of arguments. Christians have cut off friendships. Churches have split because folks argued about such things.
Why does this happen? People who get caught up in petty squabbles have lost sight of what a church is for. The church is the place we go for worship, for reading the Word, for singing to God's glory, for serving others, and for helping one another to grow. It's supposed to be a place of love, forgiveness, and encouragement.
In Paul's letter to the Ephesian church, he described the unity of purpose (4:1-16) that should help us to work through disagreements without creating divisions. He knew all too well how selfish desires, personal agendas, and playing favorites could create havoc (1 Corinthians 3:1-9).
Let's make sure our churches are safe havens from squabbles by remembering what a church is for. Dave Branon
O Lord, help us to turn aside
From words that spring from selfish pride,
For You would have Your children one
In praise and love for Your dear Son. D. De Haan
Christians at war with each other cannot be at peace with their heavenly Father.

Ahh......coffee's ready, and all is well!
The bonus is it is served by one who with it conveys love of our Heavenly Father and his fellow sojourners...
Yes, Rus, each of us here should come before Him with reverence and singleness of purpose - to express our love for and appreciation of His mercy and grace, and be reminded of His precepts.
Every one of us approaches God differently, according to our individual walk; but all must attune our hearts to His.
Lord, we remember that we are to come before you with praise and singing and sounds - the joyful noise that is so sweet to Your ears!
You assure us You will inhabit our praises!
Lord, we are reminded, as Rus says, You do not inhabit our squabbles and grumbling and muttering. Help us to have clean hearts and hands - -
We thank You for the wondrous gifts of Your Son and the Presence of The Holy Spirit. Amen.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
May God be with each of you today - and every day.
