A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT BUSH (photos): 10/17/03

Eric (the 3rd of our 4 kids) joined the Army Reserves before his senior year in high school, went to basic training and AIT after he graduated (2002), finished in October of last year, and was activated in February.

He was deployed to the Middle East in March, went to Baghdad in early May, and has been there since.

No way to know when he'll be back, but we're all praying (REALLY hard), that he'll be back before second semester starts in February, so that he doesn't get any farther behind in college.

That's too obvious for my husb. See, the key is to wake him enough so he stops snoring so I can get to sleep before he starts again, but make it seem like an 'accident' (just moving in my sleep) so he doesn't get mad that I woke him up. When I kick him I can pretend like I'm asleep and just moved in my sleep, but if I knocked him in the head I think he'd know I was awake. I can see Barbara or Laura just knocking their respective 'Georges' in the head, tho.

I can see the debauched (I like that word!) one (Bill) lying there wide awake, terrified of what you-know-who would do to him ihe fell asleep (evil cackle here). :-)

I like the shawl. She's wearing clothes with slightly different details than I've seen--collars and hemlines. I like it! She's also experimenting more with prints--it looks like a leopard print under the black pantsuit. Very attractive, of course.

they dined on Japanese steak and Yakatori chicken, sitting on the floor, but were allowed to dangle their legs through a hole in the floor!

So they're on tomorrow now? What time tomorrow? How many hours, approximately (I know it will change with their travels) are they ahead of us? I'm on central time. Yes, I know I could get my lazy butt up and look at my world map and figure it out, but I'm sure one of you brilliant Dosers knows the answer right off. And I'd prefer to stay here so as not to miss one insightful comment from any of you! :-)

I think they never spent any time in the same bed.......or possibly the same room, as evidenced by the fact that they don't even spend time in the same HOUSE now.

They didn't have a marriage.....it was a political arrangement.

About the snoring......an elbow works. If twin beds are fashioned so that the heads are together, an elbow should still reach the offender.....

Fortunately Mr.Ohio doesn't snore unless he has a cold or something, so I don't ususally have that problem. :o)

Thank you, Gretchen! Unfortunately, I had to reboot mid-Dose because it was taking an eternity to load the pictures!

Speaking of which.......rintense is out of town, and there will be more pictures, so I'll just piggyback them to this Dose tomorrow, if that's OK with everyone.

It looks like Laura's left pinkie finger is contracted somewhat.

My sister and I inherited from our mother the same type of crooked little finger that Laura has. I don't know if hers is a genetic "crook," but whatever it is, it's more pronounced than mine. I can't straighten it to save my soul.

It's kind of sad, actually, when you know
what a 'good' marriage is (and I do have one
despite my complaints about snoring!) What
really gets me about especially Hillary's
actions, is that she makes it look OK to stick
with a spouse who REPEATEDLY breaks his vows
and lies so blatantly about it!!!
To me it gives women a bad name. How bitter
will she be when she sees that her years with
that person (he's not a man) will NOT get her
the power she so wants?
