Would it bother you to know that the husband has obtained $750K from an insurance company under the pretext that it be used for her rehabilitation, and only came up with this "Terri wants to die" notion after he got the money? Would it bother you to know that over $300K has been used on legal fees trying to get Terri killed, while any attempts at rehabilitation have been actively blocked? Does it seem like a man who stands to gain a lot of money upon Terri's death might perhaps not have her best interests at heart, especially since he has forsaken all marital vows to her and remains married solely so he can remain in control?
A woman who has survived infections, an earlier starvation attempt, and various other such things would appear to have a pretty strong will to live. When the only person saying Terri wants to die shows no interest in her comfort or well being but stands to gain hundreds of thousands of dollars upon her death, why should his claims be believed?
