One is the ADAM machine itself; the other is a computer (and the program in the computer) that is interfaced to the ADAM machine. The ADAM machine opens a dimensional rift allowing direct communication between the machine and the other dimension. A liquid plasma that is at the center of the ADAM machine facilitates the communication between the dimensions. A unique electro-magnetic field that surrounds the plasma allows for some portion of the plasma to become "non-local" through the dimensional rift. The communication between the local and the "non-local" plasma is the communication link between the dimensions. One platinum and several gold probes inserted into the plasma measure changes in frequency and voltage several thousand times per second. The frequency and voltage measurements from the plasma are fed into the computer program that performs monitoring and control functions in the plasma cell.
And remember: Bob Schindler wasn't listening in on the cell phone. He's only relaying what the "therapist" said after Terri stood up. Why do you believe what the therapist said? The therapist could've said it if Terri made any type of movement.
OK, so they are a wacky group.
Whatever the therapist happened to say to Terri doesn't negate the fact that she tried to get out of that chair.
If she can do that, then she certainly is not a vegetable and could probably improve greatly with real therapists.
