When someone believes something to be murder, and someone who wants their vote supports it, why would they vote for them based on an agreement in concept that is based on a lesser issue?

Agree totally.

There are many things I disagreed with JEB about. But to vote for McBride who was clearly Pro-Abortion was not an option. JEB got my vote because one of the most important issues to me, he was Pro-Life.

I am still hoping and praying he puts his words into action and takes a major leadership role in ending this terrible injustice to Terri.

Again U.S. renedered (sic) court decision does NOT = 1943 Nazi Germany

Maybe you have forgotten Roe VS. Wade, but I haven't.

I think a lot of the pro death propaganda we are seeing in the comments on these threads tends to come from the same disrupters that try to post full lefitst articles and get their posts removed and ZOTed here at FR. I think it's high time we tell them to get their DUmb butts off our threads or we will be our own "Viking Kitties" and start using the abuse button rather than putting up with their pro death garbage any longer.

You would think she'd have done something heinous to deserve this.

Point well taken.

I agree with you. Jeb Bush needs to send in the Florida National Guard or law enforcement agents and see that this woman is saved from death NOW.

There is nothing in the Constitution that says that courts are the supreme dictators of political policy. We have what is called balance of power in this country.

If Jeb Bush weakly pretends to pursue a legal solution at this late date while Terri Schiavo dies, it will be seen for what it is, nothing but a pretence. Nothing but going through the motions.

I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand I truly believe there are not two sides to this argument. Those who deny the intrinsic value of human life should not be dignified by debating a point with them. To even accept it as a valid point of discussion is to devalue human life. They're in the same category as holocaust deniers. In fact, they're worse. The deniers want to re-write history. The death mongers want to create a future for us that I will just not accept.

On the other hand, seeing the sick, depraved posts at least gives me an idea of how many of their ilk are out there. And I'm afraid there are more of them than we would like to think.

You just don't get it do you?

They advance their death cult one step a time. And it's all nice and legal under USA law. This is one more BIG step forward for the nihilists.

This is comparable with the devaluation of life by the Nazis.
The article is correct.

I also agree with that thought. The time to act is now.
Jeb Bush should send in the National Guard. If not her parents should muster whatever support they can and go get their daughter.
I live in the UK so cannot get there but If I was in the USA I would go myself.

However I'm almost sure where they are comming from now. The only two times that I accidently called well respected and veteran FReepers DUmmies and tried to call down the ZOT on them (for re posting previously ZOTed articles) because I am a newbie here and dont yet know all the ropes I was called on it rather severely. However I don't see any of these "FReeper" death culturists calling me on it even though everyone here knows what capitalizing and emboldening the letters DU in the words dumb or dummy means.

While I admit that it would be easier that way, you have to remember that the best way to influence those who disagree with is to confront them with rational thought, well-formulated statements and by all means, defend your ground. Booting those who disagree with you however is not a good way to spread ideas through debate. While I agree with booting someone that comes over just to start trouble, I vote that if they have a position and are actually debating the facts, that it's great to have them. If you only talk to those who agree with you already, you are just preaching to the choir. If you can stand your ground and debate a point intelligently, sometimes your opponent will come away having critically analyzed new concepts, and sometimes, you may well help sway a person to your side by the merits of your argument. Who knows... sometimes you might conclude that they are right. I find a good point and counter-point debate to be a great way to express your freedom of speach, seeing is it is precisely that right which the Founding Fathers were trying to ensure for you.

Terri- Hooked to feeding tubes, treatment, drugs, cannot get out of bed, vegetable, soils in a pan that is emptied every 2-3 hours.

Sounds like my dearly beloved son, but a vegetable he is not...he was made in the image of God, not a salad. He is a happy little fella and I thank God for the privilege and honor to be his mom. Even with a feeding tube he probably will not live an average lifespan and I know mine, my dh and his siblings hearts will be broken should he pass before any of us.

God allowed my son to be disabled for His purposes. Once you stop kicking against the pricks you can behold much more of life circumstances than you would ever imagine. Our little guy may not be able to learn much but he gets an honorary PHD for what he has taught us.

Praise be to God alone!

Joh 9:1 And as [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man which was blind from [his] birth.
Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

I'm sure if she were it would have never gone this far.

By the way, has anyone tried that route? Cant her parents argue that it is against her religion to be murdered, willing or not?

Yea, this forum would be great if we all had the same opinion and nobody dissents.

People like you do not understand the idea of a forum or that there can be different views without being a "disruptor". I think it is "new" posters like you who repeatedly make "disruptors" an issue are simply more confortable with limiting speech than with debate and learning.

Many people here have a different conservative take on the issue. I for one, do not want the governemnt (the courts) second guessing the decisions I have made with my family. To allow the government to "save" Teri by feeding her for the rest of her life, would to me, open a the door to government involvement in all medical decisions. If preserving "life" is the paramount goal - that rationale could be used for state involvement in all medical decisions.

Anyone who denies the intrinsic value of human life definitely has no busines being involved in the discussion of the fate of any human. Anyone who has descended to that concept will not be turned by rational discussion. Perhaps a personal life experience might sway them but rational dission, never

I agree, I would like to see Jeb recalled if he lets Terri die, and there is diminishing reason to thing that he will not do so.

I am not sure if FL is a recall state: I think it is not, but I believe that it has initiative elections. And it has "Yes" and "No" on judges appointed for fixed terms by the governor.

No matter what good Jeb has done in FL, it is meaningless to me if he won't order the state police to rescue this disabled soul and initiate a criminal investigation against the "judge," lawyer Felos, and especially M. Schiavo himself. I fear that Jeb lacks the fortitude to take such forceful action.
