What exactly is a "compound?" What makes it a "compound?" LOL!
If you own a gun, then your "farm" / "yard" / "land" is a compound to the media.
For example, I have a 1/4 acre "compound". On my compound is a two-story, four-bedroom "remote facility" in which members of my "clan" reside. I have an attached "facility" where I have "other miscellaneous equipment" to maintain two "vehicles". I have a small detached "facility" which houses "personnal vehicles" (two lawn mowers), "explosives" (gasoline), "poisons" (insecticides), and "other bomb making chemicals" (fertilizer).

You're probably "stockpiling" all that stuff in your "facility," eh? :-)

So, do you suppose this gentleman had been issued a "Letter of Marque" by Congress? So are you saying that in 1790 citizens needed a "Letter of Marque" to exercise their Second Amendment Rights?
To: Chancellor Palpatine
It was a matter of time. Gee, isn't it nice to live in a fantasy world where prior restraint is a flawless and Constitutionally sound practice?
Here's to looking forward to you being next on the "he was ABOUT TO do it!" arrest list.

I was lucky enough to get to shoot a string at a towed target with a 5"38 naval rifle. One tends to think about firearms in a whole different light after that experience... How long was the tow rope?
If I was the pilot towing the target, I'd want about a mile long length of tow rope to the target.

1. The Feds have no business here at all. It's a state issue at best.
2. The GR Press isn't exactly the best paper around. I wonder what the real facts are here.
AA gun? What was it really? A 300 Win Mag?

Wouldn't be the first time the F troop did something like that.
You're right about the MO as well. Most militia members I've known just want to be left alone.

I don't have a problem in the world with gun registration We have it in Michigan (pistols) and have had it as long as I can remember.(1920's I think) It's a waste of tax money.

LOL! Me too. As I recall (it was a loooong time ago, just before the gunline in Vietnam) it was a 10,000 foot tow, and the pilot was supposed to be past midships before the gun commenced fire, and it was never supposed to bear past that point. They were real careful with this idiot nugget Ensign who had the temerity to think he could shoot. That would be...me...
PS - didn't hit a GD thing.

A much better question would be why a government, with entires navies, air & ground forces at it's disposal, be so obsessed with keeping small arms, much less AA, out of the hands of it's citizensDo you then agree a government has a valid interest in keeping some arms out of the hands of it's citizens ?

3950 was the last place I remember them being on. Maybe they're still there. I used to listen to them once in a while but it got to be pretty repetitive and predictable. And they got jammed a lot which made listening tedious.

He wouldn't be heard from a long time then when he got to the hyper phase he would key up and talk incessantly.
I once heard him talk for over 5 minutes straight without stopping.
He must have paused for breath but I couldn't detect it.

40 acres = a farm
40 acres + a gun = a compound
40 acres + a bible + a gun = a cult compound
40 acres + a copy of the federalist papers + a gun = a right-wing militia compound
40 acres + a copy of the federal gun laws + a lawyer = a left-wing militia hating scumbags 'harbor'.

Chancellor Palpatine said: "I don't have a problem in the world with gun registration, and I can't say as I really care about the assault weapons ban one way or another."
And how about book registration? Is that okay too?
To: B Knotts
Do you live on a "compound? Does one live "on" a compound, or "in" a compound?

Speaking of whackjob constimatooshinalists, and our right to anti-aircaft guns & cannons:
Yes, I support the Second Amendment.
And I make no bones about its purpose or to whom it applies. It was not put in place so Bill and Hillary Clinton could go duck hunting with a shotgun or so Barbara Steisand could carry a derringer in her purse to stave off overzealous fans. It's there because the founders wanted to ensure that we the people (ie, individuals) should remain armed to defend ourselves from a government gone bad.
As far as I'm concerned, we should be allowed to park fully operational Sherman tanks in our garages and commute via fighter planes (if we wish). Now, personal nukes capable of taking out large cities.... hmmmm.... I don't know if I want to trust some of the crazier antiwar libs with those. 1,219 posted on 04/17/2003 5:04 PM PDT by Jim Robinson
